Job Description

A Livestock Worker or Animal Farm Technician in Japan is responsible for the care, feeding, and management of farm animals such as cows, pigs, chickens, goats, and sheep. Workers ensure the animals’ health and welfare, assist in breeding programs, maintain cleanliness, and support farm operations to produce high-quality animal products.

Working Hours

  • Typically 8 hours per day

  • Around 40 hours per week

  • Early morning and weekend work may be required

  • Overtime may occur during feeding, breeding, or harvest periods

  • Physically demanding work, often outdoors

Required Skills

  • Animal feeding, care, and health monitoring
