A Beef & Pork Processing Worker or Meat Production Technician in Japan is responsible for processing, cutting, deboning, packaging, and preserving beef and pork products. The role ensures compliance with hygiene, food safety, and quality standards while maintaining efficient production workflows in meat processing plants.
Typically 8 hours per day
Around 40 hours per week
Overtime may occur during peak production periods or special orders
Work is mostly indoors in meat processing plants, including refrigerated areas
Cutting, deboning, and portioning beef and pork products
Operating meat processing and packaging machinery
Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety regulations
Attention to detail for quality control and proper portioning
Ability to work efficiently and maintain consistency
Teamwork and communication skills
Basic record-keeping and reporting skills
Receive, inspect, and prepare beef and pork for processing
Operate machinery for cutting, grinding, and packaging meat
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of processing areas and equipment
Monitor quality control and remove defective or substandard products
Follow safety and food hygiene standards strictly
Record production data and assist in reporting
