A Bread Making Worker or Bakery Production Technician in Japan is responsible for preparing, mixing, baking, and packaging bread and bakery products in commercial bakeries or food production facilities. The role ensures adherence to hygiene, food safety, and quality standards while maintaining an efficient production process.
Typically 8 hours per day
Around 40 hours per week
Overtime may occur during peak production periods or special orders
Work is mostly indoors in bakery or production facilities
Measuring, mixing, kneading, and shaping dough
Operating ovens and bakery machinery
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations
Attention to detail for quality and consistency
Time management to meet production schedules
Teamwork and communication skills
Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently
Prepare dough using standard recipes and ingredients
Operate bakery machinery for mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking
Monitor baking process to ensure proper texture, flavor, and appearance
Package finished bread and bakery products
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment

Record production data and assist supervisors with reporting
