A Canvas Product Making Worker is responsible for producing canvas products such as bags, tents, sails, tarpaulins, and protective covers. The role involves cutting, stitching, assembling, and finishing heavy-duty canvas materials. Workers ensure product durability, quality, and proper finishing. They may also operate specialized sewing machines for thick fabrics and assist in packaging products for shipping or retail.
40 hours per week (standard full-time schedule)
Monday to Friday
Typical shifts: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or rotating shifts, with occasional overtime during peak production
Knowledge of canvas and heavy-duty fabric stitching techniques
Ability to operate sewing machines for thick materials
Attention to detail to ensure durability and product quality
Basic mechanical skills for machine maintenance
Physical stamina for lifting and working with heavy fabrics
Teamwork and communication skills
Cut canvas materials according to product specifications
Operate sewing machines to assemble bags, tents, and other canvas products
Perform hand stitching and finishing for quality and durability
Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines
Maintain inventory of raw materials and finished products
Follow safety and quality standards strictly
Assist in packaging and preparing products for shipment
