A Casting Worker is responsible for producing metal parts and components by pouring molten metal into molds. This role involves preparing molds, melting metals, monitoring temperature and material quality, and performing post-casting finishing such as trimming, grinding, and inspection. Workers must follow safety protocols due to the high-temperature environment and ensure all cast products meet quality and dimensional standards.
40 hours per week (standard full-time schedule)
Monday to Friday
Typical shifts: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or rotating shifts, with occasional overtime during peak production
Knowledge of metal casting processes, molds, and equipment
Ability to operate furnaces, pouring tools, and finishing machinery
Attention to detail for quality control and dimensional accuracy
Physical stamina to handle molten metals and heavy molds
Awareness of safety procedures in high-temperature environments
Teamwork and communication skills
Prepare molds and materials for casting
Melt metals and pour molten material into molds safely
Monitor temperature, material quality, and casting process
Perform post-casting finishing such as trimming, grinding, and polishing
Inspect cast components for defects, quality, and dimensions
Maintain and clean casting equipment and work areas
Follow safety guidelines strictly to prevent accidents
Assist in packaging and preparing finished parts for shipment
