Job Description

An Industrial Pottery Manufacturing Worker is responsible for producing ceramic and pottery products such as plates, cups, bowls, tiles, decorative items, and industrial ceramic components in factories. The role involves preparing clay, shaping products using molds or machines, glazing, firing in kilns, and inspecting finished items. Workers ensure products meet design specifications, durability standards, and quality requirements. They may also operate pottery machinery and assist in packaging finished products for distribution.

Working Hours

  • 40 hours per week (standard full-time schedule)

  • Monday to Friday, some factories may require shift work

  • Typical shifts: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or rotating shifts

  • Overtime may be required during peak production periods

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of ceramic materials, clay preparation, and pottery techniques

  • Ability to operate molding machines, pottery wheels, and kilns

  • Attention to detail for shaping, glazing, and finishing products

  • Basic mechanical skills for handling production equipment

  • Physical stamina for standing and handling materials

  • Teamwork and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and mix clay and raw materials for pottery production

  • Shape ceramic products using molds, machines, or pottery wheels

  • Apply glazing and decorative finishes to pottery items

  • Operate kilns for firing ceramic products at required temperatures

  • Inspect finished products for cracks, defects, or design issues

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the production area

  • Package finished pottery products for storage or shipment

  • Follow safety, quality, and production standards
