An IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining IT systems. This role involves resolving IT-related problems, installing and configuring computer systems, monitoring system performance, and ensuring network and device security. IT Support Specialists play a key role in keeping an organization’s IT infrastructure running efficiently
40 hours per week (standard full-time schedule)
Monday to Friday
Typical shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
It may require shift work, evening, or on-call support
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
Knowledge of operating systems, office software, and IT infrastructure
Ability to provide remote and in-person technical support
Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management (ITSM)
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Basic knowledge of cybersecurity and data protection
Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues
Install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, and network devices
Monitor system performance and resolve technical problems
Document support activities and maintain IT logs
Assist in IT projects and system upgrades
Train users on software and hardware usage
Escalate complex issues to senior IT teams or external vendors
Ensure compliance with IT policies and cybersecurity standards
