Job Description

A Gas Chemical Engineer specializes in the study, production, processing, and distribution of gases, including natural gas, industrial gases (oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen), and specialty gases used in manufacturing or healthcare.

In Japan, Gas Chemical Engineers are involved in designing and optimizing gas processing plants, pipelines, storage systems, and safety protocols. They also ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and often collaborate with R&D teams to develop more efficient gas production and purification processes.

Typical working hours:

  • 8 hours per day

  • 40 hours per week

  • 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (including 1-hour lunch)

Overtime:
May be required during production issues, plant maintenance, or project deadlines. Overtime is compensated according to Japanese labor laws.

Key Responsibilities
