Supply Chain & Logistics Engineers manage the flow of goods, materials, and information across the supply chain. They optimize processes from procurement, production, and inventory management to transportation and distribution.
In Japan, with its advanced manufacturing, e-commerce, and automotive industries, supply chain engineers are crucial for efficiency, cost reduction, and timely delivery.
Standard: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
Weekly: 40–45 hours
Overtime: Possible during peak seasons or project deadlines
Work type: Mix of office work, data analysis, and occasional site visits
Supply chain planning and optimization
Inventory management and demand forecasting
ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Data analysis and reporting (Excel, SQL, Power BI)
Knowledge of logistics, transportation, and warehouse operations
Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
Problem-solving and process improvement skills
Communication and teamwork (English required; Japanese preferred)
Plan and optimize supply chain operations
Analyze production, inventory, and logistics data
Improve transportation and warehouse efficiency
Develop procurement and production schedules
Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors
