An Accountant in Japan is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and comply with Japanese laws and company policies.
They handle tasks such as bookkeeping, budgeting, tax preparation, and financial analysis. Accountants work closely with management to support business decisions. In Japan, accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail are very important in this role.
Standard: 40 hours per week
Typical schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
Overtime: Common during tax season and financial closing periods
