An Automotive Test Engineer is responsible for testing and validating vehicles and automotive components to ensure they meet quality, performance, and safety standards. They design and conduct tests on engines, chassis, electronics, safety systems, and complete vehicles.
They analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations for design improvements. Automotive Test Engineers work closely with design, production, and R&D teams to ensure that vehicles comply with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
Typical working hours:
8 hours per day
40 hours per week
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (including 1-hour lunch)
Overtime:
May be required during testing deadlines, prototype validation, or vehicle launch phases. Overtime is compensated according to Japanese labor laws.
