A Boiler Maintenance Worker is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial boilers and heating systems. This role involves monitoring boiler operations, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring safe and efficient functioning of steam or hot water systems. Workers must comply with safety regulations, monitor system performance, and maintain detailed maintenance records.
40 hours per week (standard full-time schedule)
Monday to Friday, with occasional shift work or emergency call-outs
Typical shifts: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with potential overtime during breakdowns or inspections
Knowledge of boiler systems, steam generation, and industrial heating equipment
Ability to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
Understanding of safety regulations and risk management
Mechanical, electrical, and piping skills
Physical stamina for maintenance tasks, sometimes in confined spaces
Attention to detail and record-keeping skills
Teamwork and communication skills
Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial boilers and heating systems
Monitor boiler performance and detect any operational anomalies
Perform preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or electrical faults
Maintain maintenance logs and report to supervisors
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
Assist in installation of new boiler systems or components
Coordinate with other facility maintenance staff and engineers
