Job Description

A Chemical R&D Engineer focuses on research, innovation, and development of new chemical products, materials, and processes.

In Japan, these engineers design experiments, conduct laboratory testing, analyze chemical reactions, and develop prototypes or scalable processes. They collaborate with production, quality, and regulatory teams to ensure new chemical products meet performance, safety, and environmental standards.

Typical working hours:

  • 8 hours per day

  • 40 hours per week

  •  9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (including 1-hour lunch)
