A Cloth Sewing Worker is responsible for sewing and assembling garments, fabrics, or textile products using sewing machines or hand stitching. The role includes following patterns, ensuring precise stitching, maintaining quality standards, and finishing products for sale or distribution. Workers may handle a variety of textile items such as clothes, accessories, home textiles, or industrial fabrics.
40 hours per week (standard full-time schedule)
Monday to Friday
Typical shifts: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or rotating shifts, with occasional overtime during peak production
Knowledge of sewing machines, hand stitching, and garment assembly
Ability to follow patterns and production specifications
Attention to detail for stitching quality and finishing
Time management and ability to meet production targets
Physical stamina for standing and repetitive tasks
Teamwork and communication skills
Cut and prepare fabrics for sewing
Operate sewing machines or perform hand stitching to assemble garments or textile products
Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and defects
Maintain clean and organized workstations
Perform minor machine maintenance and cleaning
Assist in packaging finished products for storage or shipment
Follow safety, quality, and hygiene guidelines
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules
