A Cybersecurity Specialist is responsible for protecting an organization’s computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats such as hacking, malware, phishing, and data breaches. The role involves monitoring security systems, identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and responding to cyber incidents. Cybersecurity Specialists also ensure compliance with security policies and work with IT teams to maintain secure digital environments.
40 hours per week (standard full-time schedule)
Monday to Friday
Typical shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Knowledge of network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
Understanding of cyber threats, malware analysis, and vulnerability assessment
Experience with security tools and monitoring systems
Ability to perform risk assessment and security audits
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python or Bash
Communication and teamwork skills
Monitor networks and systems for security breaches or suspicious activities
Identify and fix vulnerabilities in software, systems, or networks
Implement security measures such as firewalls, encryption, and access controls
Respond to and investigate cyber incidents or attacks
Conduct security audits and risk assessments
Develop and enforce security policies and procedures
Educate employees about cybersecurity best practices
Maintain documentation and reports on security activities
