An Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supervising electrical systems for industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects. They prepare technical drawings, schematics, and layouts for power distribution, lighting, control systems, and other electrical installations.
These engineers ensure compliance with Japanese electrical codes, safety standards, and efficiency requirements. They collaborate with civil engineers, project managers, and construction teams to implement electrical designs accurately.
Typical working hours in Japan:
8 hours per day
40 hours per week
schedule:
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (including 1-hour break)
Electrical circuit design and schematic development
Knowledge of power distribution and control systems
Proficiency in CAD/AutoCAD, EPLAN, ETAP, or similar design software
Understanding of electrical codes and standards in Japan
Equipment specification and selection
Load calculation and short-circuit analysis
Knowledge of renewable energy systems (optional but valued)
