An Automotive Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and improving vehicles and automotive components. They work on vehicle aesthetics, mechanical systems, safety features, and performance optimization, ensuring that cars, trucks, and other vehicles meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Automotive Design Engineers collaborate with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, designers, and manufacturing teams. They create 3D models, prototypes, and simulations to test vehicle designs before production.
Typical working hours:
8 hours per day
40 hours per week
Example: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (including 1-hour lunch)
Overtime:
May be required during project deadlines, prototype testing, or production phases. Overtime is usually paid according to Japanese labor law.
