A Bedclothes Making Worker is responsible for producing bed linens, including sheets, pillowcases, blankets, duvet covers, and mattress protectors. The role involves cutting fabrics, operating sewing machines, stitching, finishing, and quality checking the final products. Workers ensure products meet size, quality, and design standards, and may also assist with packaging and preparing bedclothes for shipment or retail distribution.
40 hours per week (standard full-time schedule)
Monday to Friday, with some factories requiring shift work
Typical shifts: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or rotating shifts, occasional overtime during peak production
Knowledge of fabric cutting, sewing, and stitching techniques
Ability to operate sewing and finishing machines
Attention to detail for measuring, stitching, and finishing
Knowledge of quality control for home textiles
Physical stamina for standing and repetitive tasks
Teamwork and communication skills
Cut fabrics according to patterns and size specifications for bedclothes
Operate sewing machines to assemble bed linens
Perform stitching, finishing, and quality checks on final products
Inspect products for defects, measurements, and design accuracy
Maintain clean and organized workstations
Package finished bedclothes for storage or shipment
