Biomedical Engineering
A Biomechanics Engineer studies the mechanical principles of biological systems, including human movement, musculoskeletal mechanics, and prosthetic or wearable device design. They apply engineering principles to understand how forces interact with the human body and develop devices or solutions for rehabilitation, sports performance, medical devices, and ergonomics.
In Japan, Biomechanics Engineers often work with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, universities, research institutes, or medical device
Typical working hours:
8 hours per day
40 hours per week
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (including 1-hour lunch)
Overtime:
May occur during experiments, research deadlines, or device prototyping. Overtime is usually compensated according to Japanese labor laws.
