Job Description

A Biomedical Research Engineer conducts research and develops technologies, devices, and systems to improve healthcare outcomes. They work on medical imaging, prosthetics, diagnostic equipment, bioinformatics, and biomedical instrumentation.

They collaborate with medical professionals, biologists, engineers, and regulatory teams to design experiments, analyze data, and translate research into practical healthcare solutions. Their work contributes to innovations in medical devices, treatments, and healthcare technology.

Typical working hours:

  • 8 hours per day

  • 40 hours per week

  • 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (including 1-hour lunch)

Overtime:
May occur during experiments, deadlines for research publications, or grant projects. Overtime is compensated according to Japanese labor laws.
