A Can Seaming Operator or Canned Food Processing Technician in Japan is responsible for operating machinery that seals cans containing food or beverages. The technician ensures proper sealing, hygiene, and quality control in canned food production according to Japanese food safety and industry standards.
Typically 8 hours per day
Around 40 hours per week
Overtime may occur during peak production periods
Work is mostly indoors in food processing factories, standing for extended periods
Operation of can seaming machines and related production equipment
Knowledge of sealing techniques and inspection of sealed cans
Attention to hygiene, safety, and quality control
Ability to monitor production processes and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
Understanding of production workflow and time management
Teamwork and communication skills
Basic record-keeping and reporting skills
Operate can seaming machines according to production schedules
Inspect cans for proper sealing and detect defects
