A Carpet Manufacturing Worker is responsible for producing carpets and rugs using various techniques such as weaving, tufting, or knitting. The role involves operating machines, cutting and finishing carpets, ensuring quality control, and maintaining production efficiency. Workers follow safety and quality standards to produce carpets suitable for residential, commercial, or industrial use.
40 hours per week (standard full-time schedule)
Monday to Friday, some factories may require shift work or weekend work
Typical shifts: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or rotating shifts, occasional overtime during peak production
Knowledge of carpet manufacturing techniques (weaving, tufting, knitting)
Ability to operate and maintain carpet production machines
Attention to detail for pattern, texture, and color consistency
Basic mechanical skills for minor machine adjustments
Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks
Teamwork and communication skills
Operate machines for weaving, tufting, or knitting carpets
Monitor production to ensure consistent quality and patterns
Cut, finish, and inspect carpets for defects
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines
Maintain inventory of raw materials and finished carpets
