Concept Designers / R&D Designers create innovative product concepts and experimental prototypes for future products. They explore new materials, technologies, and user experiences to guide product development. Their work bridges design, engineering, and research, providing the creative vision for manufacturing teams.
Standard: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
Weekly: 40–45 hours
Overtime: Occasional, especially during project deadlines or prototype testing
Work type: Mix of R&D lab work, CAD modeling, and team collaboration
Advanced CAD & 3D modeling (Rhino, SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360)
Prototyping and model-making
Material knowledge and experimental testing
Creative thinking and concept visualization
Understanding user experience (UX) and ergonomics
Collaboration with engineers, marketers, and production teams
Communication skills
Develop innovative product concepts and prototypes
Conduct R&D for materials, processes, and technologies
Translate design concepts into CAD models and production-ready ideas
Test feasibility, performance, and user experience of concepts
Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and marketing teams
Document design processes and maintain technical specifications
Present new concepts to management and stakeholders
