A Plumber or Plumbing Technician in Japan is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing water supply systems, drainage systems, gas pipelines, and related fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. The technician ensures systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with Japanese building and safety regulations.
Typically 8 hours per day
Around 40 hours per week
Overtime may occur during urgent repairs or large installation projects
Work may be indoors or outdoors, depending on the project
Installation of pipes, fittings, and fixtures
Maintenance and repair of water supply, drainage, and gas systems
Reading technical drawings and blueprints
