Syed Aun Muhammad Hussain Shah Visits UET Lahore as Esteemed Guest
December 16, 2025 — Syed Aun Muhammad Hussain Shah, a renowned Innovation & Education Strategist, Startup Growth and Commercialization Leader, and Founder of S-Digital Hub, attended the Startup Showcase – Research & Innovation Pitch Fest at the University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore as an esteemed guest. The visit marked a significant milestone in strengthening collaboration between academia, startups, and industry, with a strong focus on innovation-driven economic growth.
Currently serving as Program Leader for Overseas Placement and Commercialization Initiatives at the Higher Education Department, Government of Punjab, Syed Aun Muhammad Hussain Shah has been actively working to connect Pakistani universities with global opportunities, commercialization platforms, and zero-cost overseas placement pathways for students. His visit to UET Lahore aligned with this broader mission to empower youth through innovation, entrepreneurship, and market-ready research.
The Vice Chancellor of UET Lahore, Professor Dr. Shahid Munir, warmly welcomed Syed Aun Muhammad Hussain Shah and his accompanying team. During the visit, the Vice Chancellor provided a comprehensive briefing on UET Lahore’s cutting-edge innovations, research output, and technology-driven inventions. The delegation was introduced to multiple student-led startups, research prototypes, and scalable business models developed under UET’s innovation ecosystem.
The event was organized by the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) in collaboration with the Business Incubation Center (BIC). The Startup Showcase – Research & Innovation Pitch Fest served as a platform for young innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs to present their ideas before industry leaders, policymakers, and commercialization experts.
In his address, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shahid Munir emphasized that UET Lahore is fully committed to bridging the gap between research, innovation, and industry. He highlighted that such initiatives enable young researchers and startups to convert ideas into impactful solutions that contribute to national development, industrial growth, and economic sustainability.
Participants and attendees recognized the event as a major step toward promoting startup culture, incubation, and commercialization in Pakistan. Syed Aun Muhammad Hussain Shah praised the quality of UET Lahore’s innovations, the maturity of business models, and the creative potential of student entrepreneurs and faculty experts. He noted that all showcased projects would be reviewed for potential investment, commercialization partnerships, and strategic support, with selected projects planned for acquisition and scaling through national and international channels.
Syed Aun Muhammad Hussain Shah reaffirmed his commitment to facilitating commercialization services, industry linkages, and overseas placement readiness programs for university students across Punjab. He emphasized that innovation-driven startups emerging from universities like UET Lahore can play a vital role in positioning Pakistan as a competitive knowledge-based economy.
Accompanying the esteemed guest was Muhammad Ahmed Aslam, a young expert actively contributing to innovation and startup development initiatives. The event was further graced by prominent UET officials and faculty members, including Director ORIC Professor Dr. Syed Mohsin Kazmi, Professor Dr. Shahid Kamran (Campus Coordinator, New Campus Kalashah Kaku), Professor Dr. Amjad Hussain, BIC Program Manager Farhan Riaz, Professor Dr. Anila, and Dr. Rana Tanveer Qasim.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Vice Chancellor expressed sincere gratitude to Syed Aun Muhammad Hussain Shah and his team for their encouragement of students and researchers. He also commended the Punjab Government’s initiatives aimed at strengthening innovation, commercialization, and entrepreneurship across public sector universities.
